Karapagavinayagar thirunerimanram president,secretary and some members went to Thiruchangattangudi on 18th April. We stayed at Chozapuram chettiar madam at Chengatttangudi. It is adjacent to Chiruthondar's house.
18th night theruvadaichan chaparam came round the veethi. It just occupies the entire street that is why it is known as theruvadiachan. Pancha murhty came in that chaparam at around 11.3 pm.
On 1 morning 7am we went to the temple Ganapatheecuram. Lord Ganpathy did siva poosai at this place after killing an asuran and during the fight the blood of asuran flood over the street and that is why this lace is called chengattangudi.
The Lord of the temple Uthirapathy comes to Chiruthondar' house as a NorthIndian Bairavar people eating nara mamisam.

As thiruthondar has gone in search of a sivanadiyar, only his wife and servant were at home. He refuses to enter the house in which ladies are alone and goes back to the temple and waits under the aathi tree. Chiruthonadar goes to the temple to invite Uthrapatheeswarar. He tells his condition to come to his house for food. Chiruthondar agrees to sacrifice his son for him. They make the preparation. This is supposed to be the place where it was done.
While serving food he asks chiruthondar to call his son. Venkattunangai his wife calls out "come seerala sivanadiyar wants to see you". Then the miracle happens. The boy come home running. Now they do not find the Sivanadiyar.
He appears in the rhishabam along with ammai and murugar.All the four were blessed with motcham (Chiruthondar, Venkatunangai, Seeralan, Santhanathahi)

This festival is being celebrated for nearly 500 years and people take part in thousans. They still maintain the tredition. One such is the Therukoothu were the story is told by the actors.
