Aruthra was celebrated in Karapaga vinayagar koil esat tambaram with usual enthusisam. Devotees gathered at 5 AM itself. The Ko poosai was at 6AM

Tambaram Othuvar Program Deceber 2015

Today 20th December2015 we had the last program of Tambaram Othuvar Program.
Pon Muthu Vinayagam (brother of Pon Muthu Kumaran) gave a very nice program for 2 hours.
He gave a very  nice performance from 4.15 to 6.15 hrs.

It has been declared as the last program. (119th). Hereafter no othuvar program on 3rd sundays.
May once in 2 or 3 months we will have one.
One of the reason cited is the less number of participants. It varied from 5 to 30.

Kanthasasti viza was celebrated  in our koil. Morning 9 to 10.30 AM abishekam special for urchavar.
Evening 4 pm abishekam for moolavar. Surasamharam at 6.30 pm. Lord Muruga went round the streets of East Tambaram and reached the temple at 8.30pm

Monthly othuvar program  for November 2015 was  held on 15th Nov. Othuvar Hariharasubramanian (thevara teacher Thamizisai mandram) gave a very good performance for nearly 2 hours. Due to the  heavy rain the attendance was poor.

One of the office bearer had the opportunity to attend a pooja in mylapore.
Bairavar pooja organised by sivasundari kalaikoodam. The main Biaravar decorated well.

This month Othuvar program was held on  20th September,2015. The program started at 4.30 and went  up to 6.30 pm.Sivathiru Sikkal Ramchandran gave a very good performance for nearly 2 hours.

Vinayaga Chathurthi celeberation  17-9-2015

Vinayaga chathurthi viza was celeberated with enthusiasm by the devotees of Karpaga Vinayagar Koil, East Tambaram on 17th September,2015. Morning there was a special Abishekam. In the evening around 7 pm.
Vinayagar went round the mada veethi to give dharshan to all.

The monthly Othuvar program for the month of August was held on 16th August,Sunday,2015 between 4.15 and 6.00pm. Thirumathy Akila from Tiruchi gave a very good performance. Thevaram was recited in traditional manner. Each one present enjoyed it. They almost sung together. Of course there was a few  choices from the audience especially Sudarar thevaram and Thiruvasagam. Finally the audience requested for Kanthimathi ammai pillathamil. On the whole every one enjoyed the program.

The monthly othuvar program for the month of July2015 was held on 19th July. Thiru Arumugam othuvar from Tambarm gave a good performance for 1and half hours. He concentrated on Thiruvautpa in fag end of the program. Thirupugaz he sang was not the usual one and it was different.

Tambaram Othuvar program for the month of June 2015 was held on 21stJune,at Thiruvachakam Illam, between 4 and 7 pm. Sankaralingaothuvar from Thiruvidaimaruthur gave a lecture cum demonstarion on Pann.  He belongs to the oldest school in Thevaram . He has described a lot about the pann. The program was interactive and enjoyed by all.
