Chithirai Bharani- Amuthu padayal in Chengattangudi

The story of Chiruthondar is known to everybody, but the amuthupadayal is celberated as a ceremony in Thiruchengattangudi on every Chithirai Bharani 17th April, 2018. some members of the Karpagavinayagar thiruneri madram went for that ceremony. On 16th night Theruvadadaichan chapparam went round the veethi. Panja moorthikal were there in side, the greatness of this chaparam is that the height is more around 50ft.

Next day evening Uthrapatheeeswarar comes to  Chiruthondar's house. That was around 5.30 pm. The urchavars  Venkattu nangai and  santhanathathi receives 

 Him, as Chiruthondar has gone in search of a Sivanadiyar. The periyapuranam is recited by a Gurukkal upto the portion where He says  He will not  enter the house where the ladies are alone. He says He will wait in the Ganpatheecharam, under the Athi tree. Chiruthondar comes back to his hoouse and was informed about the Bairavar and he goes to the Temple for inviting the Sivanadiyar.

When Uthrapaheeswara comes back to Chiruthondar 's house. Thevaram sung by Othuvars. (12pm)

 Chiruthondar house , the adukkalai (kitchen) wehre  the pillaikari is cooked  (by simulation) . during this time all the Urchavars ( Uthraptheeswarar, Chiruthondar ,his wife  son and the servant maid are kept inseide the kitchen and the door is closed with one Gurukkal inside. 

Outside again the Periyapuranam is recited . At the end Uthrapatheeswarar just goes back without any  noise. This time it happened at 5 in the morning and after an hour Ganpatheeswarar is seen on the vidai with Amman and Murugar. Somaskanthar appears  before chiruthondar family.  The function comes to an end. Swamy Somaskanthar  goes round the veethi.

  Cholavarm  chettiar madam is adjacent to  chiruthondar's house.  Many people do Sivapoosai there.
