Kanthasasti viza in East Tambaram was celebrated today evening. Morning there was a special abishekam.
Evening there was abishekam for the moolavar. Lord Murugar came to the ground and the soora samharam was held. Sooran  sent his brothers kajamugan, singamukan and others. Finally he himself comes for the fight. He becomes a Cock and a mango tree finally.

Visit to Ponneri temples

One of the committee member had the opportunity to visit Ponneri. Chinnakavanam near ponneri .Noontru etteeswarar and amman ashdothiravalli. There are two moolavar side by side.

One of the comittee member of  KaVi Thi Ma had an opportunity to visit Sri Nagaboosani amman  temple in Frankfurt.

One day trip to Thiruchangattangudi 5-5-16

A few members of KaVi Thi Ma went to Thiruchengattangudi on a one day trip.
We left Tambaram  at 5.30am. We reached Thirumarugal by 11.30. We visited Marugal and Thirupugalur.

We were at Thiruchengattangudi at 1.00 noon. We were given a warm welcome by people and in charge of Cholavaram Chettiyar madam. 

We started at 3.30 from chengattangudi and visited Srivanchiyam near Nannilam.

We left Srivanchiam at 4.45pm and reached Tambaram by 11pm.

Pradohsm on 4-5-16 at our temple

Monthly  Pradosham was held on 4th May. As usual the devotees thronged the temple with enthusiasm.

Today (1-5-2016) morning a few members of Karpagavinayagar thirunerimandram had the opportunity to visit the temple at Thirumalpur. It is in the thondainadu list. It is 15 km from kanchipuram towards Thirupathi or Arakkonam. The kumbabishekam for this temle was held last monday (25-4-16).
It is here Lord Vishnu worshiped Siva with 1000 lotus flowers and by miracle one went missing and Vishnu did not hesitate to remove one of His eyes (which also resembled lotus ) and offered it . Lord Siva was pleased and gave Him the Sudarshana Chakra with which Siva killed the demon Salandran.

The 126th Tambaram othuvar program was held today evening. Sivathiru sundaramurthy of sivanmalai Kangeyam gave a very good performance for 2 hours from 4.30 to 6.30 pm.
