This Thiruneri Madram was formed 15 years back, by people who frequently visit the Karpagavinayagar koil in East Tambaram. The president of this Mandram is Lalkudi C Vedanarayanan. Secretary is P Natarajan (East Tambaram). Treasurer is S Santhalingam (East Tambaram). This mandram arranges Othuvar program every third Sunday. It also arranges tour to varuious temples for the devotees of this temple.

Tambaram Othuvar program for the month of June 2015 was held on 21stJune,at Thiruvachakam Illam, between 4 and 7 pm. Sankaralingaothuvar from Thiruvidaimaruthur gave a lecture cum demonstarion on Pann. He belongs to the oldest school in Thevaram . He has described a lot about the pann. The program was interactive and enjoyed by all.

An eye camp was organised by Karpagavinayagar thirunerimantram on 16th June,2015, at Thiruvachakam Illam, Karapagavinayagar koil street, East Tambaram.
Around 10 members from Sankara Nethralaya came and screen many people for various defects on eye. Sivathiru Jayachandran provided the space at his house and also provided lunch and breakfast for them. Sivathiru Arunai Natarajan and Thirumathi Kamala Vedanarayanan members of KAVITHIMA supported the event as volunteers. 89 public were screened. for 7 people catraract consultations were given. For 21 people were screened for fundus (fungus). 4 other tests were done.For 24 people (21 bifocal & 3 single vision ) glasses were distributed.
The camp started at 9.30 AM and ended at 2PM.
